“The hardest part will be people expecting me to go there to win it."

Cadel is now sitting third overall in Tour de Romandie after coming second in Stage 2, and yep……I expect him to win :)

“While the cobbled northern Classics elucidate a mien that takes hold of our hearts and can’t really be explained, the hillier races in the last week of the Spring campaign offer their own charms for us to appreciate. The fragile climbers, who’ve avoided the rough and dirty roads in weeks previous, mix it up alongside a smattering of the Big Men of the Stones who make the crossover to give it one last crack, or to simply help their grimpeur buddies get a slice of their own pie. These are races that can go to any number of riders who are having an on day.”

“I don’t know who was the last rider to win it while they were reigning world champion. But it’s more than a dream for me. It’s an obsession.” Thor Hushovd

Can Thor pull off Paris-Roubaix this weekend in the arc-en-ciel jersey?

George Hincapie might still be missing two things he needs to ride into the velodrome in Roubaix in first place. Lady luck and bad-ass aggression.

Big George Hincapie is my sentimental favourite for the win - he has ridden the Hell of the North for the better part of two decades and fallen shy every time…. I believe he’s too much of a nice guy and too used to riding as a super-strong domestique/first lieutenant to ride for himself….one can always hope :)
